Volunteers play an integral role in the success of the Milton Fund. Parent volunteers use their enthusiasm for Milton to encourage fellow parents to make a donation in support of the School. The Milton Fund relies on Parent Volunteers for outreach.
Volunteers give their time to make connections by sending emails and making phone calls. You can be a volunteer from anywhere, whether your home is down the street from Milton or across the globe. Being a Parent Volunteer for the Milton Fund is a great way to meet other Milton parents and to make a real difference in your child’s school.
Why volunteer? A Milton parent shares his story.
“With my son as a boarder at Milton, I miss out on day-to-day contact with him, Milton families, and the Academy itself. One way I bridge the gap is to to be a Parent Volunteer for the Milton Fund. It doesn't take much of my time, but the fundraising phone calls to fellow parents produce personal connections within, and productive conversations about, the School — beyond the routine sporting event sideline interactions and formal family events. Meanwhile, my involvement is my way to 'give back' and thank Milton for the extraordinary experience and support afforded to my son.” — Ted Hibben P`18
